Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham’s long-lost 1973 debut, Buckingham Nicks, is finally set for a wide reissue after decades of being unavailable on CD or streaming platforms. Arriving September 19, 2025, via Rhino Records, the remastered album will be released on vinyl, CD, and digital services for the first time. The rollout was teased through cryptic social media posts quoting lyrics from “Frozen Love” and a nostalgic billboard in Los Angeles. Fans can already hear the newly remastered version of “Crying in the Night,” offering a preview of the refreshed sound ahead of the full release.
Though it was a commercial disappointment upon its original release, Buckingham Nicks went on to become a coveted collector’s item and a key piece of Fleetwood Mac history. Mick Fleetwood first heard “Frozen Love” at Sound City Studios and invited Nicks and Buckingham to join his band—provided they came as a duo—ultimately shaping the sound of Fleetwood Mac’s most successful era. This long-overdue reissue celebrates the origins of one of rock’s most legendary partnerships, while also acknowledging that a full Fleetwood Mac reunion is unlikely, especially following the passing of Christine McVie.
